Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jimmy Ernst achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2007. In the The House Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 3,600.00 (€ 2,769.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jimmy Ernst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Imminence in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 21,600.00 (€ 17,793.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jimmy Ernst erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The House Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.600,00 (€ 2.769,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jimmy Ernst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Imminence im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.600,00 (€ 17.793,89).
