Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Interior and Silence by Jimmy Ernst. The price achieved of USD 5,400.00 (€ 4,138.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jimmy Ernst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Imminence in March 2006 with an auction result of USD 21,600.00 (€ 17,793.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Interior and Silence von Jimmy Ernst zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.400,00 (€ 4.138,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jimmy Ernst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Imminence im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 21.600,00 (€ 17.793,89).
