Sold at the upper estimate price
The work ZOBOP (Metallic colour) by Jim Lambie was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September 2019. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,510.32), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jim Lambie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Careless Whisper in March 2019 with an auction result of GBP 175,000.00 (€ 203,117.21).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit ZOBOP (Metallic colour) von Jim Lambie kam im September 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.510,32) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jim Lambie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Careless Whisper im März 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 175.000,00 (€ 203.117,21).
