Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work A Diary of Flowers – Just Black by Jim Hodges for USD 16,380.00 (€ 15,867.48). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jim Hodges achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work When We Stay in November 2010 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,609,772.94).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jim Hodges erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit When We Stay im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.609.772,94).
