A top price for Jim Drain - as previously expected
The work LFSVR by Jim Drain was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,723.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, LFSVR is the most expensive artwork by Jim Drain that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit LFSVR von Jim Drain wurde im September 2012 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.723,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist LFSVR das teuerste Kunstwerk von Jim Drain, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
