In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Jia Aili. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 5,166,000.00 (€ 619,070.11), 72% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jia Aili have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Combustion in November this year with an auction result of USD 4,769,000.00 (€ 4,372,020.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jia Aili zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 5.166.000,00 (€ 619.070,11) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jia Aili auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Combustion im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.769.000,00 (€ 4.372.020,54).
