Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Evening Sale, which included the work The Memory of North Liucao Island by Jia Aili. The price achieved of HKD 8,645,000.00 (€ 939,071.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 7,000,000.00 – 10,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jia Aili have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Combustion in November this year with an auction result of USD 4,769,000.00 (€ 4,372,020.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Curated: Asia | JAY CHOU x SOTHEBY’S | Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Memory of North Liucao Island von Jia Aili zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 8.645.000,00 (€ 939.071,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 7.000.000,00 – 10.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jia Aili auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Combustion im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.769.000,00 (€ 4.372.020,54).
