Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ram Head 9 by Ji Yong-Ho was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2009. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,556.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ji Yong-Ho - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mutant, Mutant 4, which sold at auction in May 2006 for HKD 312,000.00 (€ 31,338.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ram Head 9 von Ji Yong-Ho wurde im Mai 2009 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.556,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ji Yong-Ho mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mutant, Mutant 4 beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für HKD 312.000,00 (€ 31.338,58) versteigert wurde.
