Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Jaguar 6 by Ji Yong-Ho was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,766.32). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ji Yong-Ho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mutant, Mutant 4 in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 312,000.00 (€ 31,338.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Jaguar 6 von Ji Yong-Ho im April 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.766,32) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ji Yong-Ho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mutant, Mutant 4 im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 312.000,00 (€ 31.338,58).
