Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Buffalo Head No. 5 by Ji Yong-Ho for HKD 17,500.00 (€ 1,846.53). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ji Yong-Ho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mutant, Mutant 4 in May 2006 with an auction result of HKD 312,000.00 (€ 31,338.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Buffalo Head No. 5 von Ji Yong-Ho für HKD 17.500,00 (€ 1.846,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ji Yong-Ho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mutant, Mutant 4 im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 312.000,00 (€ 31.338,58).
