Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Phillips in 6 - held the auction Editions & Works on Paper: Online Auction, which included the work Incliné bleu et noir (Inclined Blue and Black) by Jesús Rafael Soto. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,826.00 (€ 4,559.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jesús Rafael Soto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vibración Blanca in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,035,000.00 (€ 886,889.46).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.826,00 (€ 4.559,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jesús Rafael Soto erzielen.
