This artwork by Jessie Arms Botke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. In the California Art auction, the work Magnolias sold for USD 21,760.00 (€ 20,075.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jessie Arms Botke have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flamingos and Tropical Birds in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 121,434.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 81 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jessie Arms Botke erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Magnolias für USD 21.760,00 (€ 20.075,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jessie Arms Botke auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flamingos and Tropical Birds im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 121.434,25).
