This artwork by Jessie Arms Botke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. In the California Art auction, the work Herons sold for USD 35,840.00 (€ 33,065.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jessie Arms Botke - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Flamingos and Tropical Birds, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 137,500.00 (€ 121,434.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jessie Arms Botke erzielte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Herons für USD 35.840,00 (€ 33.065,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jessie Arms Botke mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Flamingos and Tropical Birds beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 137.500,00 (€ 121.434,25) versteigert wurde.
