Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art Online, which included the work Landscape with Cypress Trees by Jessie Arms Botke. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,668.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jessie Arms Botke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flamingos and Tropical Birds in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 137,500.00 (€ 121,434.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with Cypress Trees von Jessie Arms Botke zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.668,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jessie Arms Botke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flamingos and Tropical Birds im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 137.500,00 (€ 121.434,25).
