This artwork by Jerry Schatzberg achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2007. In the Photographs From The Estate of Thomas T. Solley auction, the work Charlotte Rampling, c. 1966 sold for USD 2,880.00 (€ 2,176.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jerry Schatzberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Bob Dylan 'Smoke'' in April 2014 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,277.58).
