Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2016 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Ronnie Reagan 1 by Jennifer Steinkamp. It changed hands for a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,253.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jennifer Steinkamp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Judy Crook in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 87,060.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2016 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ronnie Reagan 1 von Jennifer Steinkamp zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.253,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jennifer Steinkamp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Judy Crook im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 87.060,12).
