Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jeff Sonhouse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work without title sold for USD 47,880.00 (€ 46,381.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jeff Sonhouse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bubonic Bling, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,472.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeff Sonhouse erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 47.880,00 (€ 46.381,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jeff Sonhouse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bubonic Bling beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 147.472,55) versteigert wurde.
