In March 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Neon Swimmer, Las Vegas, NV by Jeff Brouws. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,400.00 (€ 1,794.53), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jeff Brouws have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Partially Painted Pickup Trucks (From American Typologies) in October 2015 with an auction result of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,754.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im März 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Neon Swimmer, Las Vegas, NV von Jeff Brouws zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.400,00 (€ 1.794,53) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeff Brouws auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Partially Painted Pickup Trucks (From American Typologies) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.754,39).
