Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jeff Brouws achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in November 2016. In the Photographs auction, the work Front Street, Battle Mountain, Nevada sold for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,849.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jeff Brouws; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Partially Painted Pickup Trucks (From American Typologies) sold at auction in October 2015 with the realized price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,754.39).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jeff Brouws erzielte im November 2016 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Front Street, Battle Mountain, Nevada für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.849,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jeff Brouws; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Partially Painted Pickup Trucks (From American Typologies) im Oktober 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.754,39).
