Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Purple flowers in front of a window by Jeanne Bieruma Oosting was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,125.00. Admittedly, works by Jeanne Bieruma Oosting have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Interieur (Lauswolt) - mijn zitkamer in November 2003 with an auction result of EUR 5,975.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Purple flowers in front of a window von Jeanne Bieruma Oosting im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.125,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeanne Bieruma Oosting auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Interieur (Lauswolt) - mijn zitkamer im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.975,00.
