Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work De kanaries by Jeanne Bieruma Oosting was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 250.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 239.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jeanne Bieruma Oosting achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Interieur (Lauswolt) - mijn zitkamer in November 2003 with an auction result of EUR 5,975.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit De kanaries von Jeanne Bieruma Oosting im Juli 2003 bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 250,00 – 300,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 239,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jeanne Bieruma Oosting erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Interieur (Lauswolt) - mijn zitkamer im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.975,00.
