In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Sleeping Nude, Paris by Jeanloup Sieff. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,978.93), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jeanloup Sieff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 39,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sleeping Nude, Paris von Jeanloup Sieff zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.978,93) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeanloup Sieff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971 im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.400,00.
