Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La main à la hanche (The Hand on the Hip), Paris, 1964 by Jeanloup Sieff was auctioned at Christies in Sydney in November this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,560.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jeanloup Sieff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 39,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La main à la hanche (The Hand on the Hip), Paris, 1964 von Jeanloup Sieff kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Sydney zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.560,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jeanloup Sieff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yves Saint Laurent, Paris, 1971 im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 39.400,00.
