Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean Royère achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in November 2017. In the Jacques Grange | Collectionneur auction, the work Pair Of Ambassador Armchairs, Circa 1955 sold for EUR 345,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Royère - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'OURS POLAIRE' SOFA, CIRCA 1952, which sold at auction in November this year for USD 945,000.00 (€ 866,336.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Royère erzielte im November 2017 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Jacques Grange | Collectionneur wurde die Arbeit Pair Of Ambassador Armchairs, Circa 1955 für EUR 345.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Royère mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'OURS POLAIRE' SOFA, CIRCA 1952 beobachtet, die im November diesen Jahres für USD 945.000,00 (€ 866.336,63) versteigert wurde.
