This artwork by Jean-Michel Moreau achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in January 2016. In the Master Drawings auction, the work Invitation To A Ball sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,693.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jean-Michel Moreau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fête De Nuit in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 92,148.17).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Michel Moreau erzielte im Januar 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Master Drawings wurde die Arbeit Invitation To A Ball für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.693,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Moreau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fête De Nuit im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 92.148,17).
