Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Recto: A Costume Design For Oreste In "Iphigénie En Tauride" Verso: A Further Costume Design For Sythe by Jean-Michel Moreau for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,670.66). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Michel Moreau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fête De Nuit in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 92,148.17).

Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Moreau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fête De Nuit im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 92.148,17).
