Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Anatomy by Jean-Michel Basquiat was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2008. The price achieved of GBP 90,500.00 (€ 115,374.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Michel Basquiat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 110,487,500.00 (€ 98,333,481.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Anatomy von Jean-Michel Basquiat kam im April 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 90.500,00 (€ 115.374,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Michel Basquiat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 110.487.500,00 (€ 98.333.481,67).
