In the Impressionist & Modern Art | New York auction, the work Captain Alfred Dreyfus sold for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,072.98) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Louis Forain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La femme aux affiches in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 1,692,500.00 (€ 1,450,299.91).
