In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Grapes, peaches, plums and other fruit with urns on a ledge sold for USD 2,640.00 (€ 2,141.12) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Jean Laurent have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Album Photographique 'Sevilla', Années 1860/70Album With 104 Albumen Prints On Original Cards, Each Titled, Numbered And With The Photographer'S Name Copied In The Negative At The Lower Edge. in November 2011 with an auction result of EUR 9,375.00.
