In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Old Masters Part II, which included the work An Alpine Landscape With Figures Bathing And Fishermen In Their Boats Nearby by Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld. Here, the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 87,500.00 (€ 72,469.77). Admittedly, works by Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Augustan bridge on the Nera river, near the town of Narni, Italy in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 441,600.00 (€ 338,416.74).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im April 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Masters Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Alpine Landscape With Figures Bathing And Fishermen In Their Boats Nearby von Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 87.500,00 (€ 72.469,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Augustan bridge on the Nera river, near the town of Narni, Italy im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 441.600,00 (€ 338.416,74).
