Sold at the lower estimate price
In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work A mountainous river landscape with the Monastery of San Cosimato, to the north of Rome by Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld. The result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Augustan bridge on the Nera river, near the town of Narni, Italy in January 2005 with an auction result of USD 441,600.00 (€ 338,416.74).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A mountainous river landscape with the Monastery of San Cosimato, to the north of Rome von Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.711,33) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Joseph-Xavier Bidauld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Augustan bridge on the Nera river, near the town of Narni, Italy im Januar 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 441.600,00 (€ 338.416,74).
