Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Mise Au Tombeau, D'Après Domenico Feti by Jean-Honoré Fragonard was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May last year. The price achieved of EUR 5,292.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Honoré Fragonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Verrou (The Bolt) in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,172,000.00 (€ 7,681,613.89).

Die Arbeit La Mise Au Tombeau, D'Après Domenico Feti von Jean-Honoré Fragonard kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.292,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Honoré Fragonard erzielen.
