Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bradamante remet l'anneau magique à Mélisse by Jean-Honoré Fragonard was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. The price achieved of EUR 26,240.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Honoré Fragonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Verrou (The Bolt) in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,172,000.00 (€ 7,681,613.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bradamante remet l'anneau magique à Mélisse von Jean-Honoré Fragonard wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 26.240,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Honoré Fragonard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Verrou (The Bolt) im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.172.000,00 (€ 7.681.613,89).
