Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean Dunand achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December 2019. In the Un oeil à part : Collections d'un esprit libre auction, the work PANNEAU AUX SINGES, VERS 1925 sold for EUR 268,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean Dunand; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen sold at auction in May 2012 with the realized price of GBP 301,250.00 (€ 375,344.25).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Dunand erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Un oeil à part : Collections d'un esprit libre wurde die Arbeit PANNEAU AUX SINGES, VERS 1925 für EUR 268.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jean Dunand; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen im Mai 2012 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 301.250,00 (€ 375.344,25).
