Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Panneau, Trois Figures, 1929 by Jean Dunand was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 108,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Dunand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 301,250.00 (€ 375,344.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Panneau, Trois Figures, 1929 von Jean Dunand kam im November 2010 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 108.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean Dunand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für GBP 301.250,00 (€ 375.344,25) versteigert wurde.
