In the The Modern Age: The Collection of Alice Lawrence auction, the work A LACQUERED METAL AND GILT-BRONZE 'COBRA' BONBONNIÈRE, CIRCA 1925 sold for USD 131,500.00 (€ 103,592.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Dunand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'Marabou Storks' Four Panel Screen, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 301,250.00 (€ 375,344.25).
