Estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Der Hochzeitsantrag by Jean Carolus was sold in the Alte Kunst auction at VAN HAM in May 2016. Here, the estimate of EUR 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,580.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Carolus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Negotiations in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 56,400.00 (€ 60,463.12).
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Der Hochzeitsantrag von Jean Carolus wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Alte Kunst bei VAN HAM versteigert. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von EUR 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.580,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Carolus erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Negotiations im Mai 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.400,00 (€ 60.463,12).
