In November 2012 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Roses, Peonies and Forget-me-nots in a Japanese Vase by Jean-Baptiste Robie. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,823.98), 50% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Robie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, anenomes and peonies, strawberries, a silver-gilt ostrich egg cup and a German gold-gilt tankard on a draped table, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 54,050.00 (€ 92,531.41).

Im November 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses, Peonies and Forget-me-nots in a Japanese Vase von Jean-Baptiste Robie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.823,98) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Baptiste Robie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses, anenomes and peonies, strawberries, a silver-gilt ostrich egg cup and a German gold-gilt tankard on a draped table beobachtet, die im April 2000 für GBP 54.050,00 (€ 92.531,41) versteigert wurde.
