Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jean-Baptiste Robie could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Belgian still Life With Roses And Poppies changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,963.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Robie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, anenomes and peonies, strawberries, a silver-gilt ostrich egg cup and a German gold-gilt tankard on a draped table in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 54,050.00 (€ 92,531.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Baptiste Robie konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
