In April 2013 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Roses and Wildflowers in a Forest by Jean-Baptiste Robie. The »bidding war« ended at USD 81,250.00 (€ 61,702.61), 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jean-Baptiste Robie; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Roses, anenomes and peonies, strawberries, a silver-gilt ostrich egg cup and a German gold-gilt tankard on a draped table sold at auction in April 2000 with the realized price of GBP 54,050.00 (€ 92,531.41).

Im April 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Roses and Wildflowers in a Forest von Jean-Baptiste Robie zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 61.702,61) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jean-Baptiste Robie; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Roses, anenomes and peonies, strawberries, a silver-gilt ostrich egg cup and a German gold-gilt tankard on a draped table im April 2000 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 54.050,00 (€ 92.531,41).
