Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Belgian Still Life Of Flowers With A Coconut Chalice On A Table by Jean-Baptiste Robie. The price achieved of USD 53,125.00 (€ 41,890.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Baptiste Robie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, anenomes and peonies, strawberries, a silver-gilt ostrich egg cup and a German gold-gilt tankard on a draped table, which sold at auction in April 2000 for GBP 54,050.00 (€ 92,531.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art including The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Belgian Still Life Of Flowers With A Coconut Chalice On A Table von Jean-Baptiste Robie zur Versteigerung kam.
