In January 2013 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work A Rose, Grapes, Mushrooms, An Orange And Chestnuts by Jean-Baptiste Robie. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,167.26) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Baptiste Robie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, anenomes and peonies, strawberries, a silver-gilt ostrich egg cup and a German gold-gilt tankard on a draped table in April 2000 with an auction result of GBP 54,050.00 (€ 92,531.41).
