In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work Portrait of a young lady, half-length sold for GBP 150,000.00 (€ 164,690.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,081,000.00.
