Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Portrait of the Marquise de Beaumont by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres. The price achieved of USD 69,300.00 (€ 57,107.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue in February 2009 with an auction result of EUR 2,081,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of the Marquise de Beaumont von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 57.107,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait de la comtesse de La Rue im Februar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 2.081.000,00.
