Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Brentwood County Council High School by Jean Alexander for GBP 120.00 (€ 174.77). This price was achieved in the auction The Scottish Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Jean Alexander have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man In A Fez in March 2005 with an auction result of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,223.37).
