Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Hero by Jason Martin was worth GBP 100,800.00 (€ 113,793.38) to a buyer in December last year. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jason Martin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Origin sold at auction in July this year with the realized price of GBP 114,300.00 (€ 133,353.46).
