nine lithographs with hand-coloring, 1839, on wove papers, published in London, all with margins, all with pale light- staining and minor surface soiling to varying degrees, pale scattered foxing on several plates, Plate 33 with a small graphite mark in the lower right corner within the text, otherwise all apparently in good condition, in faux-gilt latticed frames, not examined out of the frames

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,114.01). Other works by Jane Wells Loudon have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 3,760.00 (€ 6,145.57) in November 2000 for the work The Ladies' Flower Garden of Ornamental Annuals.
