Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Gloucester Harbor by Jane Peterson was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. The price achieved of USD 60,480.00 (€ 51,612.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jane Peterson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gloucester Harbor--Late Afternoon in November 2006 with an auction result of USD 520,000.00 (€ 392,127.29).
