Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A battle between the Turks and Christians by Jan Wyck. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,085.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jan Wyck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Sprotborough Hall, Near Doncaster, Yorkshire, With Cattle And Herdsman On The Banks Of The River Don Before in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 70,238.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A battle between the Turks and Christians von Jan Wyck zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.085,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jan Wyck erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View Of Sprotborough Hall, Near Doncaster, Yorkshire, With Cattle And Herdsman On The Banks Of The River Don Before im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.410,00 (€ 70.238,99).
