Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jan Wijnants could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters auction, the work Wooded Landscape With Travellers Resting On A Path, A Distant River Landscape Beyond changed hands for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,767.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Wijnants have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 75,650.00 (€ 90,601.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Wijnants konnte im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters wechselte die Arbeit Wooded Landscape With Travellers Resting On A Path, A Distant River Landscape Beyond für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.767,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Wijnants auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape With Sportsmen Resting By A Path im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.650,00 (€ 90.601,56).
